2008 Spring Community Event

 The Easter Bunny Was Last Seen in Hamilton Park

bunnyIt was a day full of good fun, food and festivities for all ages. We had Bunny Sack Races, Cookie Decorating, Egg toss competition, and the wildest Easter egg hunt with over 1200 candy filed plastic eggs. A professional DJ’s music helped establish the upbeat atmosphere, 2 Bounce Houses helped entertain the children, and parents got a chance to take home a commemorative picture of their child with the Easter Bunny. We even had a visit from Chester Cheetah, the 7 ft. tall Frito Lay Cheetos Brand mascot.

Aside from Frito Lay we received corporate sponsorships from Alcatel Lucent, All American Homes, Cadbury Schweppes (Snapple), Driven Sports Training, Joy Promotions, Texas Instruments and Warrior Group. Thanks goes out to these socially conscious companies for their support and commitment of communities in need.

Why we do the Easter Event

We start the year off with our Easter Eggstravaganza. We use the Easter Eggstravaganza in the Spring for 3 purposes:

  1. The event is designed to give deserving children a fantastic Easter event that goes far beyond traditional Easter egg hunts;
  2. We use the Easter event as a corporate fund raising vehicle to help us fund our Summer Learning Programs;
  3. It is a great community relations event, designed to show support for the community where we deliver our services for the Summer Learning Program.
